How to Choose a Sweet Swim Suit PLUS a Contest to Win a NoNetz Bathing Suit

by Linda Varga on June 27, 2012

With beach season close at hand, chances are you’re headed to the stores to pick a swimsuit for the kids. Yes, kids frequently outgrow their swimsuits each season, don’t they?

Here are some tips on choosing a swimsuit that will be comfy, cute and convenient to put on and remove as well as a cool contest to win a NoNetz Bathing Suit for the boys in your family!

Get the Right Fit

Yes, you need to choose the right size for a swimsuit. Although you want them to fit snugly, you don’t want them to be too tight since that will lead to chafing and irritation. If you’re buying at the store, make your child try on the suit and bend, twist and sit down in it to ensure that it fits perfectly. If buying online, refer to an online sizing chart for popular brands. The Swim Outlet has a comprehensive sizing chart by brands.

Choose an Easy-On,Easy–Off Suit

Yes, with young kids, especially girls, you don’t want to struggle with putting on or taking off a swimsuit. Choose a swimsuit that is easy to wear and remove. SwimZip has some cool swim shirts for both boys and girls that aren’t just a breeze to wear because of the zippered fronts but are also offer UV protection.

UV Protective Swimsuits for Summer

Days at the beach mean lots of exposure to sun. So, make sure you opt for a swimsuit that has UV protection. They keep you safe from the harmful UV rays of the sun and reduce the risk of skin cancer. Of course, this does not substitute other sun safety measures, such as slathering on the sunscreen and staying in the shade when the sun is at its hottest.

Keep Your Child’s Personality in Mind

For slightly older kids, you may want to involve them in choosing colors, styles and designs. Will your tween like the bright pink polka dot bikini-style you chose online? If not, there is little sense in buying it.

Make Comfort a Priority

Finally, comfort should be your top priority. Whether it is choosing a swim shirt for kids who hate wriggling into a swimsuit or a bathing suit for boys without the liner that chafes, you should put comfort right at the top of your list.

CONTEST – Win a NoNetz Bathing Suit for Boys and an ezShade Sun Shield

This month, we’re thrilled to be partnering with NoNetz, another mom-owned business, that makes “ridiculously comfortable swimwear for guys.”

NoNetz bathing suits for boys come with a special liner that puts comfort for guys right at the top of the list. “This high performance fabric holds everything in all the right places. Not as tight as a bike short, not as loose as boxers – just right.

There is also an anti-bacterial coating on the liner fabric which is an ecological liquid solution containing no solvents. That means there are no toxic chemical remains on the finished anti-bacterial product.

A liner that provides minimum friction, quick drying performance, a UPF rating of 50+ and an anti-bacterial finish, helps to ensure better vacations for everyone.

What makes beach season best for me is that my little girl just started walking. So this is the perfect time to take her and her big sister to the beach to play in the sand.
